I am Helen (also known as Hen), the designer and seamstress behind all things in my HenHouse.

I take the utmost care with everything I craft and consider myself fussy about details. I am very proud to have many happy repeat customers, many of whom commission items from me as they trust my taste and workmanship. Payment

Payment must be made within 24 hours of purchase otherwise the item shall be released back into stock. Payment is due in advance on all orders please. Custom orders cannot be cancelled once started upon. Import tax may be payable depending upon where you live, I'm afraid I'm no expert on this so please check with the relevant authorities in your country should you wish to.

Shipping

I will usually post Royal Mail First Class in the UK and Royal Mail Airmail overseas. During the sale, I will use the cheapest shipping method in the UK, generally second class/parcel post.

The maximum compensation available under the Royal Mail for standard postage is £20. Postage costs are stated exclusive of any tracking. I always obtain proof of posting and cannot be held responsible for items lost in the post.

Please do let me know if you want tracked shipping or enhanced compensation to cover the full cost of your purchase and I can get back to you with the exact costs. Because of their value, I will usually send quilts Special Delivery in the UK which explains the higher fee; the method of postage will be stated in the listing. If in any doubt, please do enquire before purchase.

Additional policies and FAQs

Everything listed in my store is already made and will be sent out within 24-48 hours, presuming the post office is open (ie. not on a Sunday)! I am very happy to work with you to create a specific item not listed, please convo me.
I am happy to gift wrap for a small fee. However, all items are sent wrapped in tissue and ribbon/string and look very pretty. I can also send gifts direct to the recipient, handy if you are overseas to save on shipping and time too.
